At Plano High School we strive to bring the best of education together to create an organizational framework to build lasting and significant change and improvement in our school. Everyday we meet new challenges and new ideas. The framework and philosophy we have adopted enables us to stay focused on our priority, to work effectively to establish and maintain the highest standards of quality, and to effectively target instruction to meet the needs of all students.

Student learning is at the center of everything we do at PHS. Critical content and formative assessment is used to guide instruction within a positive environment that is focused on the academic, behavioral, and social emotional needs of all students.

We are committed to developing instructional standards based on best practices and we are committed to continuous improvement through ongoing program evaluation. All of this is accomplished within our Professional Learning Communities, through teacher leadership and with the support of the community.
